Tradie Answering Service Get set up

What we do with your details

Short, because you have a job to get back to. If anything here is not clear, email and ask.

What we collect

Your submitted enquiry details. Your name, your mobile, your email, your business name, your trade, and whatever you wrote in the box. If you arrived from an ad we also record which ad it was, so we know what is worth paying for. Limited technical information also supports the form security checks described below.

Why we want it

To ring you back about your enquiry, and to set the service up if you decide to go ahead. Nothing else. Filling in this form does not put you on a mailing list.

Who sees it

The people who run this service, and nobody else. We do not sell your details, we do not rent them out, and we do not hand them to anyone outside the business for their own use. The only outsiders in the chain are the suppliers who host our systems and send our email, and they only touch it to do that job for us.

How long we keep it

If you become a customer, for as long as you are one and for seven years after that, because tax and company records have to be kept. If you do not become a customer, we hold the enquiry for two years in case you come back to us, and then it goes.

Getting it fixed or gone

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email logins@d3v.nz and we will come back to you inside 20 working days. Nothing to pay, and you do not have to give a reason.

Bots and junk

The form uses a security session, a hidden anti-spam field, server-side validation and a limit on repeated submissions. A failed check shows an error; it is not presented as a successful enquiry. The rate limit uses a hashed version of the connecting IP address, held separately from enquiry content.

Where it is held

New Zealand enquiries are held in New Zealand data centres and Australian enquiries in Australia. We handle New Zealand information under the Privacy Act 2020, and Australian information under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies

An essential session cookie protects the contact form. It is not an advertising cookie. Short-lived request counts help limit automated submissions. Campaign tags may be remembered for the browser session and included when you enquire. Google reCAPTCHA protects the enquiry form. It loads when you submit and processes technical browser and network information to assess automated abuse. The form carries a reCAPTCHA notice saying so. Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to that check.

If you are not happy with the way your information has been handled, tell us first at logins@d3v.nz. If we cannot sort it out between us, you can take it to the Privacy Commissioner in your own country.

Optional Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on this website to understand page visits and confirmed enquiry counts. It is on by default. These sites serve New Zealand and Australia, where analytics of this kind does not require your prior permission, so we do not interrupt you with a banner to ask. You can switch it off at any time. Local previews send no analytics at all.

“Analytics choices” in the footer turns analytics off, and your choice is remembered in this browser for up to 180 days. Turning it off does not affect the contact form or any planning tool, and it stops this integration sending anything further. Essential form-security cookies work separately.

While analytics is on, Google receives limited technical information about the visit. This implementation sends the page path and title, referring website origin and whether an enquiry was confirmed. It does not deliberately send form answers, names, email addresses, telephone numbers or URL query/fragment text. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled.

Google Analytics uses cookies and processes technical information, which may involve systems outside New Zealand or Australia. See Google’s Privacy Policy. Switching analytics off stops future analytics from this integration; it does not erase information already processed.
